Dear Parents and Student-Athletes,
I wanted to reach out to invite you and your students to a NCAA Information Night that will be on 10/2/2019 in the Bearden Library from 6:30-8:00 pm. We know that many of our student-athletes have the aspirations to play at the collegiate level. We believe this night will be very informative about different aspects of the recruiting process and the academic requirements it takes to be a NCAA student-athlete.
Sarah Beth Clark, University of Tennessee’s Director of Compliance, will be at this meeting to share a presentation she created that addresses various parts of the recruiting process and academic requirements of the NCAA. Mrs. Clark will begin her presentation at 7:00 p.m. We ask that you begin arriving at 6:30 p.m. in case you have questions for Sarah before the presentation begins. The meeting will focus on Division I and Division II requirements for NCAA and touch on Division III.
We will also have other information that can be a useful tool for you and your student as they explore becoming a student-athlete at the collegiate level. We encourage you and your student to attend and this meeting is open for Bearden students of all grade levels. We hope to see you on the 2nd!
